*GREEK IMMERSION DAY*

On June 3rd, 2008, the Fifth Grade celebrated Greek Immersion Day. This is a traditional day of fun and games, one that capped our study of ancient Greece.

In the morning, we saw a great Greek film: Jason and the Argonauts. Then, in the tradition of the ancient Olympics, we competed in the one of the most typical Greek games: Dodgeball!

After the Olympics came the Greek Banquet. Everyone contributed some food, drink or dessert and it was all really delicious. There was plenty of food for everyone -- enough for seconds! Thanks to all the parent-volunteers, the banquet ran smoothly and efficiently.

Finally, it was time for the climax of the Immersion experience: the three Greek plays. Each class put on a production and all of them were lively, entertaining, and very funny. All the actors did a great job.

Thanks to everyone who made Greek Immersion Day such a fabulous experience!
