On December 3rd and 4th, the students in 5Z gave presentations about the gods and goddesses of Ancient Egypt. Here is what we did. First, we picked a god or goddess - we picked names from a basket. Here is what everyone was: Nicolas was Set; Hannah was Hathor; Gabrielle and Stuart were Ra; Caroline was Nekhebet; Dory was Isis; Clara was Tefnut; Caitlin and Max were Anubis; Peter was Horus; Gabi was Nut; Ben was Shu; Ian was Geb; Dana was Nephthys; Mia was Osiris; D.J. was Ma'at; Olivia was Thoth. Next we did a little research about our god or goddess. We read some information and wrote short scripts about our lives. Then we gave our presentations. Some people dressed up in fantasy Egyptian clothes. Other people made posters or drawings of their god or goddess and some people made crossword puzzles about their lives. The presentations were great! While people presented, we had to take notes. We had to write down what each person was god or goddess of, what they looked like, which other gods were in their family, and any other special details or stories about them. You can see photos from the presentations here. |
